Redknapp for brighter future of Tottenham

Tottenham have experienced massive problems this season and instead of fighting to break into the top 4, they ended up involved in the survival fight. Juande Ramos was sacked after the disappointing start of the season and experienced Harry Redknapp took over the reigns. He had an extremely difficult job to lift the players’ spirits as they were expecting to fight for Europe but found themselves at the wrong end of the table. The team struggled at the start of Redknapp’s reign but it was evident that former Portsmouth manager created a good atmosphere in the team and that is always the basis of the good results. The players were happy to finally have a British manager at the helm and this mutual understanding has produced excellent results. Nobody ever doubted that Tottenham would escape the dangerous zone but it was Redknapp who made this happen and I am sure that all the fans are very grateful for that.
Spurs started playing really well and they even made it to Carling Cup final for the second time in a row, but were eliminated after penalties. They continued with very good performances in Premiership and emerged as one of the candidates for the seventh place, the last one which leads to Europa League next season. Regardless of whether they finish seventh or not, the team have made a big progress under the new boss and they are already preparing for the next season. The boss has stated that he needed three more players for the new season and I have no doubts that Daniel Levy will fulfill his wishes even though the financial situation is not that great. Spurs are likely to offload several players in order to raise the funds for the new signings, while Redknapp will definitely count on players like Taarabt and Dos Santos, who have impressed while on loan at Championship clubs. Adel Taarabt in particular have shown tremendous potential once he was given the chance to play on a regular basis and the fans are hoping that he can continue the good form that served him so well at QPR.
Tottenham definitely have the potential to fight for the European places next season and this league campaign should serve as a big warning for Spurs. However, the atmosphere in the team is now much better and for the first time in recent years, the team will not suffer a lot of changes during the summer, which will definitely have a positive effect. Spurs have got the tremendous amount of talent and it seems that they finally have the man who can make that work for the team in Harry Redknapp.
